Lara Dutta won the Gladrags modeling competition after which she won the Miss India Universe in the year 1999. Luck continued to shine on the sexy Lara as she was crowned the Miss Universe in the year 2000. Lara Dutta has an amazing vocabulary, superb diction and is awesome communicator. That is the reason Lara Dutta is the highest scored by any contest in Miss University competition ever!
Incidentally, the very same year 2000 was a boon to the other two Priyanka Chopra and Diya Mirza who won Miss World and Miss India-Asia Pacific. Films happened as an offshoot as Lara Dutta won a Filmfare competition along with her buddy and colleague for their very first film Andaaz.
